General Rules
Most school rules are basic common sense, and are simply designed to promote safety and order on the school premises and as such do not need listing here. However, of particular note are the following:
- Chewing gum should not be brought into school. It can easily cause lasting damage to furniture and carpets.
- We do not allow sweets in school, not only for health reasons but also we find that often they are the cause of arguments between children.
- (iii) We have found that drinks (with the exception of those incorporated in a child's packed lunch) when brought into school often get lost or spilled into work trays or desks, causing upset over ruined books and/or clothes. Canned 'fizzy' drinks are not allowed. All children are provided with a water bottle and cold water is accessible
- Children are not encouraged to bring toys of any description to school as experience has shown that often this can lead to upset or friction when a favourite toy is lost or damaged.
- No jewellery at all may be worn.
Your co-operation in enforcing these rules will be appreciated.
