Statement on Inclusion
Curriculum
At Fir Tree School resources and best practice are deployed fairly and strategically throughout school to enable pupils with specific needs to access as full a curriculum as possible.
Effective Inclusion
At Fir Tree School everyone is committed to a whole school approach to inclusion and developing the role of special schools, which seeks to remove barriers to learning and participation and to raise standards for all.
Race Equality/Anti-Racism
At Fir Tree Primary School we aim to tackle racial discrimination and actively promote race equality and good race relations in all areas of school life.
It is the responsibility of all staff to:

- promote racial equality and good race relations and not discriminate on racial grounds;
- promote an inclusive curriculum which reflects the multi-ethnic nature of society;
- keep up to date with race relations legislation by attending relevant training and accessing information from appropriate agencies.
At Fir Tree we have specific policies and statements relating to:
- Equal opportunities
- Multi-cultural diversity
- Anti-racism
- Race equality
- Inclusion
These are available on request from the school administration office (as are copies of all school policies).
